Fateh Singh Rathore Memorial Lecture

Our founder, the late Sh. Fateh Singh Rathore, worked all his life to establish the Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve as a world-renowned protected area for tigers. After his passing in 2011, a memorial lecture was added to the Wildlife Conservation Awards, and this became a way to acknowledge Fatehji’s legacy.

Held every year on 1st March in Ranthambhore, the lecture invites a leading conservationist, forest officer, scientist or writer to speak on the challenges facing tigers and wildlife in Rajasthan and India. Past speakers include Dr. Divyabhanusinh Chavda, Dr. Raghu Chundawat, Pradip Krishen and Jay Mazoomdaar.
